The third design in our series now includes both the Curiosity and Perseverance rovers with the Ingenuity helicopter as a bonus! They are the newest generation of robotic Martian surface rovers. Curiosity arrived in 2012 with Perseverance following in 2021. Their search for past and present life on the Martian surface make them more like mobile laboratories than merely explorers.
